Excellent Pork Chop House

I have recently been spending a lot of time in Chinatown (NYC). While eating at the noodle house called Tasty Hand Pulled Noodles, I discovered Excellent Pork Chop House, next door. Both establishments live up to their chosen names.

I have not yet tried Nice Dumplings, which is down the street.

Smas and I may be setting up shop in the near future. Watch for the grand opening of Delicious Beer and Cupcake Store.

The Daily Joke

Our neices are in town for Thanksgiving. Zoe, the redhead in the below photo of the girls at home in their chicken coop, told us this joke which introduces a new form in jokemaking: question and punchline in the same sentence!

Why did the chicken cross the road to get to California.

Snack is perpetual, even if we're not

"The Daily Snack" has been sadly neglected for some time now but, in our defense, we bloggers have very good excuses. MS has been eyeball-deep in a prestigious MFA program for the last two years and I have been swamped watching "ALF" re-runs and eating cheetos off the floor. I think I've found all the cheetos so before I start in on "Little House on the Prairie" and start digging in the couch for forgotten gummi bears, I thought I'd try to drag "TDS" out of its accidental retirement by posing a simple question:

Old School frozen custard or Mr. Softee soft-serve (please ignore the unfair sprinkle advantage in the photo below...)?

I don't know the answer. There may not be an answer. It may be possible to love them both.

Time to do the Pancake Dance

Here is a snack that both captivates and repels me. I would like to have just one bite and then look at it for awhile.

The description on thisiswhyyourefat.com: "Layers from bottom to top: pancake; cookie dough; pancake; peanut butter and jelly; pancake; chocolate and bananas; pancake; caramel, oreo, marshmallow, sprinkles, M&M’s; pancake; caramel buttercream frosting granished with Trix cereal."
